Uncommon music criticized by the common man. (Or, exercises in futility masquerading as critical thought.)

How do. Not much to say for myself, really. Did pick up a few discs lately that, by gum, I'm actually inspired to write about. So, expect that to come soon. (I know. I have said that way too often.) Anyway, the discs are:

Lamb of God Ashes of the Wake (2004)
Dillinger Escape Plan Miss Machine (2004)
Motorhead Inferno (2004)

All of them are pretty damn great and I recommend them without hesitation, bitches. Get some!

Also, the Black Keys show is go for 10/6. I think, due to the awesomeness of the albums, the Dillinger Escape Plan and Lamb of God shows are going to be must see as well. Yay for live music!

Hey there, kids! Looking to check out some great live music this fall? Well, if'n you're in the D.C. area, why not try the following shows:

The Black Cat
9/19 - Melvins
9/29 - RJD2
10/14 - Mission of Burma
10/21 - Mouse on Mars
10/22 - Mike Watt
11/3 - Dillinger Escape Plan

9:30 Club
10/6 - Black Keys
10/25 - Ministry
11/13 - The Blues Explosion
11/14 - Lamb of God, Children of Bodom
11/16 - Helmet
12/3 - Blonde Redhead w/ The Liars

That's a pretty solid slate. I'm sure I won't be able to make all of them, but I will certainly try to get to the Dillinger Escape Plan, Black Keys, Ministry, Lamb of God, and Blonde Redhead shows.

Other venues that should/could have quality shows in the coming months are Warehouse Next Door and Iota. Keep tabs, people!
